Robinson I bought this drive (through reseller Oyen Digital on Amazon) in order to upgrade the harddrive inside my PS3. Even though it was physically the right size, no one had tested it yet that I could find. I decided to take a chance and test it out.I am happy to report that there are no problems using this drive to replace the internal PS3 drive. The upgrade was painless and several tutorials exist online to show you how.After I switched out the drives and turned the PS3 back on, it ask me to format the new drive before I continued. This took about 30 seconds. After the format I went to the system information tab and checked the free space.After the format the system was reporting 413GB / 465GB Free Space. SWEET!UPDATE: This drive died in March 2009, so I got about 7 months of use out of it. Looking back, movie files were getting corrupted quite often throughout it's lifespan. Eventually it dies completely and when I would boot the PS3, only the wallpaper would show. Wind All the MacBook owners in the house, raise your hands! Yes, Samsung came through for us, and this 500GB hard drive WILL fit in your MacBook! If you've ever upgraded your MacBook hard drive, you know it's a breeze (really, as close to plug-and-play as you'll get for an internal drive) and having this much space on a laptop is just plain awesome.With this drive, you've got room for your videos, music, and even a sizable Boot Camp partition. Hey, maybe you want to try Linux on your Mac, too? You'll have the space to do it, now!Heck, grab a second M60S and put it in external enclosure for a great, small Time Machine drive!It's a nice drive. Runs pretty cool, as fast any other Samsung 5400 RPM drive, and a decent 8MB buffer helps make things run better. But this is all standard for a Samsung drive. Just know it's got 500GB of space (your space may vary depending on how you format) and it fits in a MacBook, or other small space (like a PS3).Until Samsung puts out a 7200 RPM version, this is the top drive for MacBook users. The drive installed very quickly and easily, and the reformatting only took a few seconds. I had the same results when I checked the system settings, with 413GB of free space out of 465GB. The whole process of taking out the hard drive and replacing it only took about 10-15 minutes, but be careful if you try it as the screws on the tray which hold the hard drive in the PS3 do strip easily, and I had problems with one of them.
