This, along with every other Western Digital drive I have ever bought so far has been reasonably inexpensive and never given me any problems. Bang for buck By Jeff B Well, the prices of High Capacity Drives like this are changing darned near Weekly now, so by the time you read this it will probably all have changed ... But ... When I got these (bought a pair) they were at a "Sweer Spot" in the Price/Performance scale. Just $20 more than the 2 TB drives but Nearly $100 Less than the 3TB drives. With my pair I got an Extra Terabyte for around $40 bucks !!! And just that one extra bit to go to the 3 TB drives was a huge gap. I have bought several of these WD Green Cavier drives over the last year as I struggled to keep up with my storage needs. Ive bought a total of 6 of the Green Cavier drives now and had Zero problems or issues and the builtin power savings ability is great for saving wear n tear plus my electric bill (8 external drives whirring 24/7 can add up) Just recently popped for the new 6 Bay Netgear ReadyNAS 6-Ultra and while I'm still working my way thru all the countless options and configs of the NAS this pair of 2.5's and another pair of 2.0's from earlier are inside working like champs.
